AN EDITION FROM THE INTERSECTIONS PUBLISHER

ABOUT THE FILM :
1969: A passenger plane makes an emergency landing on the runway of a dusty Western Australian town. Billy Cross, a world-renowned trumpeter, takes the opportunity to give an impromptu concert to the locals. John, nicknamed Goofy, sees his life change. Twenty years later, he's scraping by on odd jobs while waiting to be noticed for his music. But it's difficult for an artist to make a career in the middle of nowhere.
Rolf de Heer's third film, before the controversial Bad Boy Bubby, DINGO is a sunny yet intimate adventure about the necessity of the creative act and the pursuit of all-consuming passions. Moving from the marvelous landscapes of the Australian bush to Parisian jazz clubs, DINGO offers Miles Davis his only major film role, and allows him to reconnect with Michel Legrand, who co-composed the soundtrack. An optimistic and original work that combines the talents of Colin Friels (Darkman, Dark City), Helen Buday (Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome), Bernadette Lafont (The Mother and the Whore) and Bernard Fresson (Z, The Tenant).

Available for the first time in France on Blu-Ray, in its restored 4K version.
