SUMMARY : The apparently lifeless body of a man is discovered in a public garden in Prague. Taken to the hospital, where he is identified, he hears his death confirmed by a doctor. The body is that of Gregory Moore, an American journalist who was investigating young women who disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Unable to speak or move, Moore is taken to a cold room. Left alone in the dark, the journalist tries to recall the events of the previous days to understand how he could have ended up in this inextricable situation.

ABOUT THE FILM : I Am Alive! is the directorial debut of Aldo Lado ( The Beast Kills in Cold Blood ). Constructed in flashbacks, this oppressive thriller is rightly considered one of the masterpieces of the giallo genre. Ennio Morricone 's eerie musical score and Giuseppe Ruzzolini 's superb cinematography ( Once Upon a Time in the Revolution ) further accentuate the unique atmosphere of this film, which stars Jean Sorel ( Perversion Story ), Ingrid Thulin ( The Damned ), Mario Adorf ( Milan Caliber 9 ) and Barbara Bach ( Continent of the Fishmen ). With I Am Alive! , Aldo Lado made a brilliant start to his directorial career.
