SUMMARY : Virginia Ducci ( Jennifer O'Neill – Scanners), an architect by profession, who has had the gift of clairvoyance since childhood, is assailed one day, while driving a car through a tunnel, by visions of a woman walled up alive. Convinced she has had a premonition, she confides in Luca Fattori (Marc Porel – The Long Night of Exorcism), her parapsychologist friend. Recently married to Francesco, Virginia and her husband Francesco ( Gianni Garko – The Night of the Devils), who is detained in England on business, then move into an old house that the young woman begins to renovate. Entering one of the rooms of the house, she recognizes the setting of her vision and begins to drill into a wall… from which she unearths a skeleton!
ABOUT THE FILM : Lucio Fulci 's fourth giallo after Perversion Story, The Venom of Fear and The Long Night of Exorcism, The Walled-In Alive is a perfectly mastered thriller in which past, present and future collide in a climate of pure terror. Carried by an unforgettable score by the trio Frizzi/Bixio/Tempera , The Walled-In Alive draws the viewer into a complex plot where the director once again takes a malicious pleasure in confusing the issue, confirming that he was, like Mario Bava and Dario Argento , one of the best representatives of the Italian thriller.
