SUMMARY : In the early 1950s – Hired to restore a fresco in a church depicting the martyrdom of Saint Sebastian, Stefano travels to a small village not far from Bologna. The artist of the mural, suffering from madness, died twenty years earlier before he could complete his work. Stefano then sets to work, while getting to know the locals. Strange incidents soon occur. Sensing that the population is hiding a dark secret, Stefano begins his investigation, and very quickly puts himself in danger.
