SUMMARY : A journalist by profession, Serge works in the tabloid press. Visiting Cécile, his ex-wife, an actress, who is in a psychiatric hospital, in an attempt to secure an interview, he meets Clo, a young and pretty arsonist. Having fallen madly in love with her, Serge helps her escape. But little by little, the journalist also loses his mind, as the fires multiply during their escape.

ABOUT THE FILM : Critically panned by the press at the time of its release in 1970, Le Cœur fou is an atypical work that had sunk into oblivion, with the exception of a brief television appearance in 2005. Unreleased on any physical medium until now in the world, Le Chat qui Fume finally offers you Le Cœur fou in a fully restored version. Directed by Jean-Gabriel Albicocco (Le grand Meaulnes), this film is carried by a cast composed of Eva Swan (La Saignée), Michel Auclair (Seven Deaths by Prescription), Madeleine Robinson (Le Gentleman d'Epsom) and Brigitte Auber (To Catch a Thief).
