SUMMARY : While all the radio and TV stations in San Diego are reporting on the mysterious disappearance of two astronauts upon their return to Earth, and strange blue stones are appearing on the East Coast, Thelma Joyce is preparing for a new underground exploration with her team of six spelunkers. Among them, Burt picks up one of these pretty pebbles, which he gives to his colleague Jill. Soon, the spelunkers are going underground, out of reach of the world, far from imagining that the stone contains an entity that will contaminate them one after the other...

ABOUT THE FILM : Released confidentially in France in a few provincial theaters in 1981, THE MONSTER ATTACKS is a pure B-movie mixing horror and science fiction. Its cast includes Belinda Mayne (LIVE TO SURVIVE, DON'T OPEN TILL CHRISTMAS), Mark Bodin (ANTHROPOPHAGOUS) and Michele Soavi , Italian director to whom we owe notably SANCTUARY and DELLAMORTE DELLAMORE. Carried by a score by Guido and Maurizio de Angelis (TORSO, KEOMA), THE MONSTER ATTACKS, as its original title indicates (ALIEN 2 SULLA TERRA), is heavily inspired by RIDLEY SCOTT's masterpiece.
