SUMMARY : In an imaginary world, two peoples oppose each other: the Pyross and the Hydross. The Soul Thief is responsible, having cut the Great Cosmic Dragon in two. Warlike and worshippers of the Sun, the Pyross believe that water brings death and desolation. On the contrary, the Hydross, a peaceful people, must protect themselves from heat, which petrifies them. One day, two teenagers, Skän and Kallisto, each from one of the two peoples, fall in love. They will do everything in their power to bring peace between the two peoples.

ABOUT THE FILM : Based on a screenplay by comic book author Philippe Caza, adapting Serge Brussolo's novel: À l'image du dragon (1982), Children of the Rain, a Franco-Korean animated film, was directed by Philippe Leclerc (assistant to René Laloux on Gandahar) in 2003. Featuring music by Didier Lockwood, Children of the Rain, twenty years after its DVD release, is finally available on Blu-ray, in high definition.
