SUMMARY : Tokyo, 1970s – Within the Japanese police, there is a secret department called "Division 0." Rei worked in this department as a detective. One day, she killed the murderer of a close friend, an act that landed her in prison. But when Kyoko, the daughter of the future Japanese Prime Minister, is kidnapped, Rei is freed, with the mission of saving Kyoko. Armed only with a pistol and red handcuffs, she manages to infiltrate the gang of kidnappers.

ABOUT THE FILM : Directed in 1974 by Yukio Noda, The Red Handcuffs, produced by the famous Toei firm, is an emblematic work of Japanese cinema of this era, in the "pinky violence" genre. Inspired by the manga Zeroka no Onna (The Woman from Section Zero), The Red Handcuffs is a film in the vein of The Scorpion Woman, in which the heroine (Miki Sugimoto: Caresses under a Kimono) does not hesitate to push her limits to achieve her goals.
