SUMMARY : After shooting a scene for his new horror film, Lucio Fulci takes a break and goes to a restaurant for lunch. Disgusted by the sight of his meat dish, the director returns home. There, he experiences hallucinations in which the characters in his film are being massacred. Fulci, no longer able to distinguish fiction from reality, therefore consults a psychiatrist, Egon Swharz, who believes the director is suffering from an identity crisis that he intends to treat with hypnosis. However, the illness only gets worse. Will the director descend into madness?

ABOUT THE FILM : Made in 1990, NIGHTMARE CONCERT is a unique film in Lucio Fulci 's career. Not only does the filmmaker play himself, but he also recycles passages from his previous works, including SUSPICION OF DEATH and GHOSTS OF SODOM . Successfully blending humor and gore, NIGHTMARE CONCERT shows another side of Lucio Fulci , who surrounds himself for the occasion with a cast including Brett Halsey ( 7 Swords for the King ), Malisa Longo ( The Amazons ) and Adriana Russo ( A Whisper in the Dark ).
