SUMMARY : Jeanne is working on a feature film called Scènes intimes and is faced with a delicate task: directing a love scene between her two leads. To tackle this complex scene, she struggles to navigate the emotions of her crew, supported by her assistant director who also serves as her confidant. However, tensions arise as the actors show no signs of complicity, and the lead actor resists following her directions.

ABOUT THE FILM : Presented at the Directors' Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival in 2002, Catherine Breillat 's 10th film, Sex is Comedy stars Anne Parillaud (Nikita, À la folie) in the role of director Jeanne directing her actors Grégoire Colin (Nénette et Boni) and Roxane Mesquida (L'École de la chair) for whom this is the second collaboration with Breillat after À ma soeur! in 2001.
